2022 NCAA Basketball Tournament Recap

The four teams that qualified for the College Basketball Championship were Houston, Baylor, Gonzaga, and UCLA. The UCLA Bruins surprised basketball fans by making it deep into the playoffs. The team was not ranked in the top ten, and they lost to top-ranked Gonzaga, in overtime. Johnny Juzang scored 29 points in 45 minutes of play, but the team came up just short of making it to the Championship game. For Gonzaga, Drew Timme and Joel Ayayi were top scorers in that game, with Timme scoring 25 points in 37 minutes of play. 

In the Baylor vs. Houston game, the Baylor Bears were in control the entire time. They shot out to a 25-point lead before the half and never looked back. Marcus Sasser scored 20 points and had four rebounds. Baylor's Jared Butler scored 17 points and had five rebounds. Baylor and Gonzaga were in the finals. Once again, Jared Butler took control of the game and scored 22 points in 31 minutes. The Bears led the entire game and would win the championship by a final score of 86-70.
