Busch Stadium Opening Day 2023

Opening Day for the Cardinals at Busch Stadium is March 30th, 2023. The Cardinals will take on the Toronto Blue Jays for a three-game series.

Busch Stadium History

Busch Stadium first opened on April 10, 2006. The Milwaukee Brewers were the first opponent to take on the Cardinals in the new stadium. HOK Sport was the principal architect for the project, which cost a total of 411 million dollars to complete. It took 28 months to build the stadium, which is situated in downtown St. Louis. Anheuser-Busch has the naming rights through 2025. 

Additions to the ballpark include Ballpark Village, which contains the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum. Budweiser Brew House, a beer garden with a rooftop seating area, was also constructed outside the stadium. Live gameplay can be seen from the rooftop seats of the brew house. 

There are three seating decks in Busch Stadium: Terrace, Loge, and Main Concourse. The seating capacity in 2023 is 45,494. When the stadium first opened, the seating capacity was 47,514.

In 2023, Luke Combs will perform at Busch Stadium on June 27. Morgan Wallen will perform for two nights in July.
