Coors Field first opened in 1995 for the Colorado Rockies baseball team. It's one of the larger stadiums in baseball, known for the enormous outfield. It seats over 50,000 fans on game day. There is one row of seats at Coors Field that is purple. That row notes the elevation of 5280 feet. Since the venue is one mile above sea level, it's known to be a home-run-friendly park. Playing home games at Coors Field can hurt the Rockies hitters when they travel to other ballparks that aren't elevated as high as their own ballpark.
