Great American Ballpark first opened in 2003. It replaced the aging Cinergy Field that year. It was built exclusively for the Cincinnati Reds, and occasional concerts and special events. Unlike many venues that reduce their seating capacity to improve the number of luxury suites, the Great American Ballpark has increased seating by nearly 1400 since it first opened. The current capacity is 43,500.
There are numerous seating options at Great American Ballpark. There are six premium seating options and 14 standard seating options. The low outfield walls and small field make it a home run hitters' dream.
