Mercedes Benz Stadium is home to the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta United Soccer club. The venue has been open since 2017, with a capacity of 71,000. The retractable roof means those early-season games won't be too hot for fans and players. The roof was inspired by the design of the Roman Pantheon. The total construction cost was somewhere near 1.6 billion dollars.
The stadium can also accommodate the needs of college teams. They tend to have larger numbers of players, so the Mercedes Benz Stadium locker rooms can hold up to 100 players. The stadium is entirely cashless. Local restaurants are represented in the food offerings at the stadium.
Mercedes Benz Stadium is also a great venue for college bowl games such as the Peach Tree Bowl, SEC Championship Game, and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The Georgia High School Association has partnered with the venue to play host to the state football championship game.
