The Houston Texans are proud to call NRG Stadium their home field. The venue includes 196 suites and four concourse levels to choose from. Completed in 2002, the venue first held a total of 69,500 fans. NRG now has a capacity of 72,220 on game day.

NRG Seating Information By Concourse Level

NRG Stadium also has 7000 club seats and 186 luxury suites. The stadium also has four seating levels.

  • The "100" level is made up of sections that are closest to the field. They number from 101 through 140, with section 101 residing in the corner, just off the field.
  • Sideline seats in the 100 level start at 102 through 111 on one side, and are numbered 122 through 131 on the other.
  • End zone sections are numbered 135-138 and 115-118.
  • The next level up is the Club Level seating, numbered from 301 through 356.
  • The 500 level is comprised of sections numbered 501 through 552.
  • The uppermost sections are numbered 601 through 652.
  • There are also club seats available that reside above the 600 level, and those are limited to areas in both end zones.

The four gates at NRG Stadium are named Ford, Amegy, Kroger, and Xfinity. The Xfinity gate can be found in the northeast corner of the stadium. The Ford gate is in the northwest corner. The Amegy Bank gate is in the southwest corner, and the Kroger gate is in the southeast corner.

When it's not in use for the Texans, it's also home to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, concerts, and special events. The stadium uses a vast amount of glass, making it light up from the inside on game nights. It's got a retractable roof.

In 2004 Super Bowl XXXVIII was held at the venue, back when it was called Reliant Stadium. The name was changed to NRG in 2014. In addition to pro football, many college football games have taken place at NRG. There is no specific college team tied to the stadium, but marquee college matchups have taken place over the years. The University of Houston and Rice University have both played games at NRG. In 2024, the College Football Playoff National Championship game will be held there in January.
