Oriole Park at Camden Yards first opened in 1992. Located in downtown Baltimore, it's home to the Orioles baseball team. It's known for its "retro park" design. Construction lasted just shy of three years. The Oriole Park style of ballpark construction is now more popular across major league baseball.
The first visiting team to play at Camden Yards was the New York Mets. In 1993, Major League Baseball's All Star Game was held there. The stadium underwent renovation in 2008, starting with a modern video display. In 2012, the stadium saw updates to the concourses in the upper deck, the construction of a lounge in center field, new food and drink options, and a picnic area.
In 2022, plans began on reconfiguring the left field wall and playing area. This effort was in hopes of reducing the number of home runs. The renovations did eliminate just over 1000 seats in the ballpark.
