Going back fifteen years, to when the band first formed, they found success when one of their songs hit the top ten just weeks after it was released. That song is titled "Harder to Breathe." It took two more years
for the album to attain "platinum" status, and by that time they had recorded a live album. Their next "official" release came in 2007, titled "It Won't Be Soon Before Long". From that disk, they had their
first number one hit. That song, titled "Makes Me Wonder" became one of five singles released from that album. It charted in the top ten in the United States.
In 2010, Maroon Five came out with their third album. It was titled "Hands All Over." Despite the mixed reviews, and the new style of the songs, it hit the U.S. top ten charts. The famous, hard driving producer John Lang
pushed the band into a new direction, and for the effort, Maroon Five fans got to hear a more polished, "pop" flavored disk.
In the past three years, the band put out two more albums. In 2012, they released "Overexposed." Some fans found it to be a bit too focused on Lavine's vocals, while others praise it for putting the
spotlight on what the find to be the best part of the band. Then came "V" in 2014. Three top ten singles came from the disk, and that brings us to the tour that they will be on in 2016. The band promises to focus on all of their
prior songs when hitting the road next year.
