It was first named the TCF Bank Stadium until the most recent name change. It's located on the Minnesota campus, near the northeast side. This 75-acre site called for an open-air stadium, despite the fact that Minnesota winters can be brutal. The cost to build topped 288 million dollars. The University of Minnesota was on the hook for 52% of the cost.

U2 was the first band to play in front of 59,843 fans. It's been a number of years since a live concert has been booked at Huntington Bank Stadium. The last concert at the venue was in 2016. That was part of Kesha's "FTW" world tour.
